FKA twigs singing about not being anyone's doll. In doing so, the songstress is reclaiming misguided words that she first wrote when she was 18 and reworking them in context as a woman. Twigs told Complex that she remains shocked by the reason she wrote something so submissive and far from who she is today: "I realized that I'd been brainwashed and preconditioned to write a pop song and write it from that point of view," she said.
